Every student learns differently — and that’s something I kept at the centre while developing Guitar Fundamentals 1.

In my recent article, I talk about teaching not as a fixed sequence, but as a set of flexible “paths” that can be adapted to each individual learner. While structure is essential, real progress happens when we adjust the journey to the student — their pace, their goals, and the way they understand music.

With Guitar Fundamentals 1, I aimed to create a method that offers clear direction, but also allows space for personalisation. Instead of forcing every student through the same route, the material supports different entry points and progressions, helping teachers guide each learner more effectively. (janasmusic)
